Colorful boxes of information for the week of March 2 - 6.

Dear Trojan Families,

A group of cadets in uniform stand at attention in a gymnasium, facing a speaker.
Hot Springs School District families, we are looking forward to a fun and exciting week March 2–6! 📚✨ Our elementary schools will be celebrating Read Across America with special activities that inspire a love of reading in our students. At the same time, spring sports are kicking off their seasons, and we can’t wait to see our athletes back in action on the fields, courts, and tracks! ⚾🥎⚽🏃‍♀️ We also want to wish our Varsity Boys Basketball team the best of luck as they head to the 5A State Tournament on Wednesday — we are so proud of you and will be cheering you on all the way! 🏀🖤💛 Go Trojans!

Read Across America March 2 - 6

Read Across America is March 2–6, and we’re excited to celebrate a week filled with stories, imagination, and a love of reading! Each day will feature fun activities designed to inspire our students to pick up a book and explore new adventures. From themed dress-up days to special reading moments, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We encourage all students to participate in the daily activities and join us in showing that at HSSD, we love to read! ❤️📖

Join Our Seniors for a Pancake Breakfast

Come enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast on March 7 and support the Class of 2026! This year, we’re working to bring back two beloved senior traditions — Project Prom and Senior Tea — and every donation helps make it happen.

Project Prom provides a safe, fun space after prom with food, games, and prizes where seniors can celebrate together. Senior Tea is one of the final special gatherings before graduation, bringing seniors and their parents together to reflect and celebrate.

Join us in the High School Cafeteria from 8–10 am. Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased at the door or by clicking here. Donations to support these events can be made by clicking here.

Help Our EAST Students Get to Wichita

We have some exciting news to share — and we need your help! Hot Springs Junior Academy EAST students, Trinity Moss, Ethan Peabody, and James Hall, won the Make 48 Region 1 POD 3 Sustainability In View Sponsored Challenge, and now they’ve earned the opportunity to compete on a national stage.

Next stop: Wichita, Kansas for the Make 48 National Competition, March 20–22 — a live, televised event where they will represent Hot Springs Junior Academy and the entire District.
