HSSD 7-12 Dance Program

Alexis Pritsch has a Bachelors of Art in Graphic Design & Masters of Arts in Education from Southern Arkansas University. Alexis danced on the Southern Arkansas University Dance Team for four years and coached their dance team during graduate school. She was also a part of ENCORE, a theatre performance group that performed at numerous events during her years at Southern Arkansas University. As a young dancer she worked for Mel Tillis in Branson and studied with his choreographer Melanie Greenwood. Alexis taught K-12 art classes at Magnet Cove for three years before moving to the Hot Springs School District to teach Dance to 5-6th graders at Hot Springs Intermediate School. She coached the Varsity T-Steppers for five years after coaching the 9th grade team for four years. Alexis has taught a variety of ages at Main Street Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School for four years, and this will be her fourth year teaching 7th and 8th grade dance at the Hot Springs Junior Academy, while working with Amy Bramlett Turner and the 7-12 Dance Program. Alexis also works with the Hot Springs Thespian Troupe #78 under the direction of Mrs. Katie Potts, where she co-directs in the staging, costuming and choreography of all 7-12 musical productions. Alexis recently co-directed the Hot Springs Dance Triupe on their performance tour to Europe with Stars of Tomorrow, where she fell in love with the architecture and beautiful historic sites throughout Austria, Germany, and Italy.
