Dear Trojan Families,

Graduates in gold gowns and caps sit in an auditorium, facing forward.
We’ve made it to the LAST full week of the 2025-2026 school year, Trojans — and we’re finishing strong! The fun kicks off tomorrow, Monday, May 18, with the very first Big Spring Trojan Thing at Joe Reese Stadium from 4–6 p.m.! Bring the whole family out for an evening full of fun, games, activities, food trucks, and Trojan pride! There’s even more excitement ahead this week with Main Street’s dance recital, Langston’s Pre-K Graduation, and Park Magnet’s talent show. It’s going to be an amazing week celebrating our students and all they’ve accomplished this year!

Big Spring Trojan Thing Set for Monday

Get ready for a BIG time at the Big Spring Trojan Thing! Join us Monday, May 18, from 4–6 pm at Joe Reese Stadium for a FREE, family-friendly evening packed with fun for all ages! Enjoy sporting events, games, line dancing, an obstacle course, delicious food trucks, the Trojan Book Bus, and so much more. Bring the whole family and come celebrate spring the Trojan way!

Final Superintendent's Parent Council is Thursday

The final Superintendent's Parent Council of the 2025-2026 school year is Thursday, May 21, at 8 am in the Langton Elementary Library. Come hear from Dr. Hernandez about summer plans and what's coming up for the 2026-2027 school year.

All HSSD parents and guardians are welcome.

Elementary Graduation Schedule

It's an exciting time at the Hot Springs School District! Last week, we honored the High School Seniors as they graduated. Soon it will be time to recognize the Kindergarten and Sixth-Grade students as they prepare for milestones of their own. Here is the schedule for the upcoming elementary graduations across the District.

Langston Elementary Leadership Academy
>6th Grade Graduation: May 28, 9 a.m.

Main Street Visual & Performing Arts Magnet School

Summer Dance Intensive Returns in July

The Hot Springs Dance Troupe will host the HSSD Summer Dance Intensive on July 13-16 at the Hot Springs Junior Academy. These classes will be taught by guest teachers and will vary from ballet to hip-hop, tap and jazz. The fee is $85. This intensive is open to the community for ages 3+. Please reach out if your student is in need of a scholarship, as a few are available. Register soon! These classes fill up fast! Contact Amy Bramlett-Turner at bramletta@hssd.net with any questions.

Summer Clothes Needed

Help Our Trojan Families Stay Cool This Summer!

The Welcome Center, which serves all families of the Hot Springs School District, is in need of summer clothing for children! We’re collecting summer clothing, shoes, undergarments, and hygiene products to support students in our community.

Langston Elementary Needs Your Shoes!

Langston Elementary is collecting shoes to help support its clubs and Parent-Teacher Organization. All shoes, new or used, are needed. They can be any style and any size.

Shoes can be dropped off at Langston Elementary, located at 300 Silver Street, or email Jessica Jeffers at jeffersj@hssd.net to arrange pickup.

Special Alert

Special education records are securely maintained for 6 years after a student graduates or leaves the district. After that time, they are destroyed in a confidential manner. The Hot Springs School District will destroy confidential special education records for the 2019-2020 school year. Records are available to the student or parent (if the student is under 18) by request. Please call 501-623-7421 or email hughesk@hssd.net to make arrangements to pick up the files by July 17, 2026. These records are not permanent school records containing grades and grade levels, as those will be maintained by the district.
