HSSD families 🌷📚 We are heading into an important and exciting week as we prepare for Spring Break! Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 2:00–8:00 p.m., giving families a great opportunity to connect with teachers and check on student progress. Please remember that students will be dismissed early at 1:30 p.m. that day. Then it’s time to enjoy a well-deserved break — Spring Break begins Friday, March 20, and continues through March 30. We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and fun break! ☀️✈️🍎

Pictured on the left: We are proud to celebrate our very own Athletic Director, Rodney Echols (center, pictured with Coach Josh Smith and Coach Darrell Burnett), for an incredible honor in Arkansas athletics. Coach Echols has been named: 5A South Conference Athletic Administrator of the Year, 5A Athletic Administrator of the Year, and AHSAAA State Overall Athletic Administrator of the Year.

Reminder of Parent Teacher conferences on March 19 and early dismissal that day for students.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Set for March 19

Spring Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 19 from 2 - 8 pm. Please note that students will be dismissed early this day at 1:30 p.m. Buses will run as usual, just earlier.

Please contact your student's teacher to schedule your conference.

Twelve of our talented Hot Springs School District Choir students have earned a spot to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York on June 29, 2026, under the direction of Dr. Nick Farr!

Langston Elementary Needs Your Shoes!

Langston Elementary is collecting shoes to help support its clubs and Parent-Teacher Organization. All shoes, new or used, are needed. They can be any style and any size.

Shoes can be dropped off at Langston Elementary, located at 300 Silver Street, or email Jessica Jeffers at jeffersj@hssd.net to arrange pickup.

Help Our EAST Students Get to Wichita

We have some exciting news to share — and we need your help! Hot Springs Junior Academy EAST students, Trinity Moss, Ethan Peabody, and James Hall, won the Make 48 Region 1 POD 3 Sustainability In View Sponsored Challenge, and now they’ve earned the opportunity to compete on a national stage.

Next stop: Wichita, Kansas for the Make 48 National Competition, March 20–22 — a live, televised event where they will represent Hot Springs Junior Academy and the entire District.
