Dear Trojan Families,

We wish all Trojan families a wonderful Labor Day week break! While school is out, Trojan athletics keep rolling with an exciting home football game on Thursday, September 4, as the Trojans take on Arkadelphia. Thanks to Citizen Bank, the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a rally towel—so come early, bring your Trojan pride, and help us pack the stands for a great night of football! Game time is 7 pm.

Parent Feedback Requested - School Calendar

We are about to begin the process of planning the 2026-2027 school calendar and your feedback is an important part of the conversation. The district is exploring a few options to better balance instructional time, breaks, and opportunities for family time throughout the year.

This short survey will help us understand your preferences and priorities. Your input will guide the development of a calendar that best supports student learning, staff needs, and family schedules.

Thursday Football Sponsored by Citizen Bank

Citizen Bank is proud to sponsor Thursday night’s Trojan football game against Arkadelphia! The first 500 fans through the gates will receive a free rally towel to wave proudly, and everyone in attendance can enter to win a Trojan-themed baggo set, with the lucky winner announced at halftime during a special Citizen Bank presentation. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.—don’t miss this exciting night of Trojan football and community spirit! Gates open at 6 pm.

HSSD Parent Academy

Join us Thursday, September 11 for the first HSSD Parent Academy of the school year. This will be held at the Welcome Center, located at 702 Main Street, from 9 - 10 am. This month's topic is ParentSquare and best practices for this communication tool.

Beta Club Fundraiser - Trojan Fan Club Signs

Senior Beta Club members are excited to announce a new fundraiser — hand-painted, personalized Trojan Fan Club Signs!

Details:

The is is $10 for one or $25 for three.
Each sign will be approx. 1.5 feet (long or wide, depending on shape) and mounted on a hand-held stick.
You may order up to 3 signs per form. Need more? Submit another form or email details to brattonm@hssd.net.
Don’t see your sport or fan club? Let us know which one you’d like, and we’ll add it.
Signs will be sold during each sporting season, so more options will be available later.

Important Dates:

All orders submitted by September 5 will be made on September 6.
Pick-up will be available the week of September 9.

Please Pay by Cash or Check and give payment to your school's Beta representative.

Proceeds benefit the HSSD Beta Club.

Rank One Athletic Forms Reminder

Physicals have been completed for all grade levels. Please remember that for your student-athlete to participate in sports, they MUST complete the required sport participation forms.
