Dear Trojan Families,

Park, STEM and Main Street choirs performing at District Art Night
The week of May 5–9, 2025, is an exciting time at the Hot Springs School District as we come together to celebrate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. Throughout the week, students and families are encouraged to express gratitude to the educators and staff who make a difference every day. The week’s highlight is the Hot Springs World Class High School graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 8, at 7:30 PM, marking a major milestone for the Class of 2025. The week culminates with the spirited Trojan Battle Royale on Friday, May 9, adding a fun and energetic close to the celebrations.

Message from Becky Rosburg, Interim Superintendent

Dear families and Hot Springs community,

On May 2, the Hot Springs School District School Board met and made a motion to place Dr. Stephanie Nehus on administrative leave. They also made a motion to appoint me as interim Superintendent until June 30, 2025. In a separate motion, the board appointed Dr. Mike Hernandez as Superintendent from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

As a graduate of the District and a staff member of 30 years, I know, love and support this District wholeheartedly. My sons are graduates of the District, and I’m proud that my grandchildren are enrolled in the District.

I want you to know that my approach in this interim role will be grounded in positivity, stability, collaboration, listening, and above all Trojan Pride. Our students, families, and staff deserve consistency during this time of transition, and I am committed to honoring the work already underway while ensuring our continued progress. I, with the help of the entire administrative team, will work diligently to renew your trust and support in our District.

Thank you for your continued commitment and support of our District. It is an honor to serve in this new capacity.

Sincerely,
Becky Rosburg, Interim Superintendent
