HSSD Parents, We are proudly starting our 5th year of the Hot Springs Trojans Pee-Wee League for students that attend Hot Springs School District.  If you are interested in your son or daughter participating, please read through the information below and return their registration and payment to their home school at HSSD Intermediate, Park, Langston, Oaklawn, or Gardner.  You may also register at Hot Springs Intermediate School, 617 Main Street, from 5:00-5:30 on Monday, November 12, 2018.  We will also do a Skills and Drills session from 5:30-6:30.

The season will start on Saturday, January 12, 2019.  You will be contacted about practice and game schedules.  You must have your $50 payment to sign up for basketball league. Please make checks payable to Hot Springs Trojans Basketball.

Several parents have expressed their enthusiasm about participating in our basketball league and we want to make it the best Pee-Wee League in Hot Springs.  Thank you and we look forward to a great season!

Hot Springs Pee-Wee Basketball League Information 4th-6th Grade Students 1. Teams will be selected by HSHS Coaches and coached by Hot Springs Trojan Basketball Players, Alumni, and Community Leaders.   2. Each team will play two games starting on January 12, 2019.   3. BE EARLY: Games will start on time if preceding games allow. 4. Each team will have 2 time outs per game. 5. Games will consist of 2, 12-minute halves. 6. Each player will play at least 2 minutes per half. 7. Players must wear black shorts, white t-shirt, and have their own basketball shoes during game days. 8. Each player present for game day will shoot one free throw before each game. 9. Overtime:  a.Sudden death with a 2:00 time limit.  If neither team has scored in the 2 minutes, the coaches will pick a player from each team to shoot one free throw.  This process will continue until the tie is broken. 10. No backcourt-pressing if the team is winning by ten or more points. 11. Entrance into games on Saturdays will be $4.00 12. Fundamentals of basketball will be stressed, which include: dribbling, passing, shooting form, defensive stance, and team play
