Due to predicted freezing rain, ice, and (possibly) snow, the Hot Springs School District will use an AMI Day on Thursday, February 3, 2022. This means our schools and classrooms will be closed tomorrow, but students were either sent home with work this afternoon OR learning will take place virtually across all schools.

AMI Days (Alternative Method of Instruction Days) are approved by the Arkansas Department of Education and count as instructional days. All students were either given take-home packets by teachers this afternoon, or are expected to log in via Chromebooks and/or Zoom sessions to work virtually with teachers during the day tomorrow. With any questions, families please contact your teachers tomorrow between 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. via email or other preferred classroom online platforms.

The HSSD will update all families by 3:30 p.m. tomorrow about whether classes will resume at schools as normal on Friday, February 4, OR if another AMI Day will be utilized due to dangerous road conditions.

Thank you for your support in keeping our students and staff members as safe as possible. We hope that all of you stay safe and take good care.
