First Security Bank representatives including Penny Pockets, First Security Bank Kids Club Savings Program mascot, presented to Park Magnet second grade students today about the importance of saving money. The presentation follows a Unit of Inquiry based on Economics. Assistant Vice President Heather Busch presented to an excited group and discussed how early students should start saving money (as soon as possible), where money should be stored (in a safe place, like a bank), and why families need money (for food, shelter, transportation, fun, and more!). Ms. Busch and Penny Pockets encouraged students to look into Kids Savings Accounts at any bank, to help begin good money saving habits, and to learn about how interest can help saved money add up!  We appreciate wonderful community partners for helping to bring classroom lessons to life through presentations like these.
