HSSD Enrichment Grants

The Hot Springs Public Schools Education Foundation is proud to open the application period for HSSD Classroom Enrichment Grants for the next Trojan school year! Classroom Enrichment Grants are intended to enhance/support the ability of our teachers and staff members to provide impactful, memorable learning, growth, and experiences to HSSD students and to enrich the offerings of the HSSD. Grants are to be used for items/tools/resources, student experiences, special projects, or unique classroom efforts outside of those that district dollars already fund. These grants are made possible through fundraisers by the HSPSEF Board and by generous support and donations from the Hot Springs community, HSSD alumni and staff, and area partners.

>>Grant applications are due Friday, April 29. Trojan staff members can apply for Enrichment Grants via Google Form, at this link.

Grant recipients will be notified by Friday, May 13, and then announced publicly on May 17 at the Hot Springs School District May School Board Meeting.

>Staff members may apply to receive Classroom Enrichment funds in any amount up to $500. All staff members - including educators, administrators, and others employed at the HSSD - who work with students, oversee student programs or clubs, or oversee student or staff events or offerings are eligible to apply for funds. Grants will be awarded based on a description of how the proposed project or effort meets student needs and “enriches” the HSSD, and serves the Hot Springs community.

>Grant recipients will be required to provide follow-up documentation including photos and student participation details to the Hot Springs Public Schools Education Foundation Board via HSSD Communications Coordinator Adriane Barnes.

>All grant applications will be reviewed by the HSPSEF Board members, and HSSD administrators, before they are approved. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Checks will be written in the specific amount of grants awarded from the Hot Springs Public Schools Education Foundation to the Hot Springs School District by June 30, 2022. Grant recipients will work through their HSSD School Administrators to spend the funds by the end of the 2022-2023 school year under the terms agreed upon.

This is the third round of HSSD Enrichment Grants provided by the Foundation. The mission of the Hot Springs Public Schools Education Foundation is to strengthen and support public school students and initiatives in the heart of Hot Springs.
