What do YOU want for lunch? That’s the question students at HSWCHS are being asked next week in the new “Student Choice” program from Chartwells K12, our foodservice partner. Students will taste and then vote on new additions to the cafeteria lunch menu.

Student Choice kicks off 12/4 - 12/6 with tasting events - during normal student lunch schedules - where students will sample a variety of new menu items from different food station options. Then, students will vote on which menu options were their favorite. The menu that receives the most votes will be introduced in the cafeteria as a daily meal option. Below are the menu concepts being sampled:

12/4 - Menu Concept: Roost: New twists on favorite chicken dishes, prepared in a variety of ways - roasted, baked, grilled, sautéed, and braised

Menu:  Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich & Honey Mustard BBQ Grilled Chicken Sandwich

12/5 - Menu Concept: Bok Choy: An exciting sensory experience of Asian flavors inspired by celebrity chef Jet Tila

Menu:  Thai Pineapple Chicken  & Korean Chicken Bulgogi

12/6 - Menu Concept: Create: BYO (build your own) lunch with rotating stations – sandwiches, pastas, burgers, and more – truly puts the concept of choice in students’ hands

Menu: Mushroom Swiss Burger & Avocado Cheddar Burger

Student Choice brings the latest food trends straight to school cafeterias to let students choose what’s on their menus.
