Congratulations to our Langston Elementary Leadership Academy Teacher of the Year Jamie Limbaugh! Mrs. Limbaugh has taught for 15 years at the Hot Springs School District, and 23 in all. Both of her children are Trojan graduates, and are “phenomenal products” of this district, she says. She currently teaches 4th grade classes. Watch her interview, here.

>Video Preview: Mrs. Limbaugh shares, she loves what she does, she loves being with her kids, and was “born to teach.” She explains that the #HSSD is where she chooses to teach because of “what it does for our kids” and a shared understanding for working with students -  “We have to love our kids first, to get them to a place where they trust us enough to let us teach them.” For her greatest aspiration as an educator, she says “My greatest hope is for children to succeed and to not let their environment overcome them … I want to give them the desire to become whatever they want to become in life.”

Each year, the HSSD proudly honors a Teacher of the Year at each of our schools. Teachers are nominated for the award by their peers.
