Please find details here about important dates for HSSD Registration and Open House events. We want to be sure that we confirm all spots for our students in the 2019-2020 school year. With any questions, please call respective schools, or our HSSD District Office at 501-624-3372. We look forward to another outstanding school year, starting August 15!

Mandatory Registration, 7th-12th Graders: July 15-19
The week of July 15-19, our 7th-12th grade students' families are required to visit our Hot Springs Junior Academy (7th-8th graders) and/or Hot Springs World Class HIgh School (9th-12th graders) to confirm spots for the coming year. The visit during that week also confirms that they have a full class schedule created by August. If families are out of town that week, please plan to drop by either school in person after that date. Be advised, if families choose to wait until open house events or the first day of school to register, students will not be guaranteed a schedule by August 15.

Special Note Concerning Elementary Student Registration
All returning elementary school students should have completed registration forms at the end of the 2018-2019 school year (in May). If you completed  paperwork at that time and turned it in, you do not need to re-register your student this summer. If you did not complete that paperwork, or did not receive it, please contact respective HSSD elementary schools as soon as possible to confirm your child’s spot for the next school year (Langston families, please contact the HSSD District Office at 501-624-3372 and ask for Langston Administrators there, until the new building is complete).

New or Transferring Student Registration, K-12th Graders: July 25
On July 25, the HSSD will host open registration for new students to our district, or students within our district hoping to transfer among our HSSD Magnet Elementary Schools. Registration for all K-12th grade students will be hosted at the HSSD District Administration Office at 400 Linwood Avenue from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Families can register multiple students for multiple schools within the HSSD at one time during that day, without visiting each campus individually.

Camp Troy for incoming HSSD 9th Graders: July 30
The HSSD will again host Camp Troy on July 30 for our incoming freshmen at HSWCHS. This event is a general 9th grade orientation and tour of HSWCHS, and helps to prepare students for the first day of school. The attendance of all 9th grade students is strongly encouraged. Camp Troy takes place July 30 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Students should RSVP to attend by calling the school office or during registration July 15-19, so that we make sure we have enough food to feed everyone. Families can also register online for Camp Troy, by clicking here.

Open House Events at all HSSD Schools: August 13
Open House events are meant to allow families to bring students to each HSSD campus to tour classrooms, meet teachers, and pick up student schedules. All elementary schools (Gardner STEM, Langston Leadership Academy; Oaklawn Visual & Performing Arts, and Park Magnet) will host Open House events from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. All secondary schools (Hot Springs Junior Academy & Hot Springs World Class High School) will host Open House events from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  [NOTE: Gardner and Oaklawn 5th and 6th Graders should report to the second floor of Park Magnet, where their classes will be held for this school year. Langston 5th and 6th Graders will be located at the new Langston building. Park 5th and 6th graders will be located at Park Magnet.]

First Day Back for all HSSD Students: August 15
We will excitedly begin the 2019-2020 school year with students returning to all campuses on Thursday, August 15!
