Educational Audiology/Speech Pathology Resources for Schools (EARS) is an outreach program of Arkansas Children’s Hospital that works with the HSSD to offer hearing evaluations, technical assistance to students and staff members with hearing aids and other hearing devices,  hearing loss resources and tips, and more. As you know, HSSD students all receive hearing screenings from our wonderful school nurses at all schools. However, through EARS, students with possible hearing deficiencies or challenges can receive specialized screenings; and, students with hearing devices and diagnosed hearing loss and/or disorders receive consistent check-ups from ACH audiologists at school.
