     Oaklawn Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School integrates various art forms with a strong academic program to enhance instruction and improve learning.

     Teaching in and through the arts develops thinking skills such as analyzing, evaluating and problem solving. The arts also help develop social skills, such as teamwork, self-discipline and positive self-image. The direct connections between study, hard work and high levels and achievement are clearly demonstrated through the arts.
