From the Superintendent
Dear Employees, Parents, and Friends of Hot Springs Public Schools
The Hot Springs School District Board of Education, administration, faculty, and staff join me in welcoming you to a new school year. It is always an exciting time, not only for students, but for educators and parents. The gift of teaching the children of this community, of helping them grow academically as well as emotionally extend beyond the walls of the classroom.
I am so proud to be the superintendent of such an aggressive and innovative school system, one that is always seeking ways to integrate best practices, to provide venues for teacher and student collaboration, and to create a school culture that is academically rich and inviting.
In addition to the academic environment, the Hot Springs School District invests considerable resources in training and preparing for emergency situations that are increasingly all-too-possible. The District benefits from a strong relationship with the Hot Springs Police Department, and other emergency responders. These agencies work with our school security officers and are invited to be a part of the normal routine of school culture. Additionally, we have substantial surveillance systems on all school campuses. This visual access is a valuable asset as we recognize that safety is a complicated and multi-faceted process.
Working together, we can continue our vision of ensuring all students graduate college and career ready by offering a safe and orderly environment, filled with high quality instruction for all of our students.
