Students will use applied technologies to assist them in
research and design, the goal being to extend learning through the
design process with real life applications. Students will work
in cooperative groups using concepts of the Math Investigations
Program to explore the engineering design process. They will
participate in hands-on, higher level math/algebra activities. |

| Students will apply mathematical concepts
as they learn to design, build, program and manipulate a variety of
robots to perform specific tasks. |

Research for
Students- Teachers and a
team of students will meet weekly to share expertise, resources, and
ideas. Concepts and activities will be based on the Arkansas
State Standards and enable teachers to integrate engineering and
design concepts across the general science curriculum. |

(computers, laptops, PDA's, digital cameras, video cameras, large
and small televisions, smart boards, etc) to assist them in research
and design, the goal being to extend learning through the design
process with real life applications. They will make high-level
presentations showcasing their finished projects
