The Arkansas Department of Education has received $11,750,000 through the federal Reading Excellence Act for the purpose of improving reading skills of Arkansas students in grades K-3.  The ADE will conduct a competitive process to select and award Local Reading Improvement Grants (LRIG) and Tutorial Assistance Grants (TAG) to recipients among eligible school districts according to the requirements of the Reading Excellence Act.
