Dr. Seuss Night

Langston students and parents kicked off "Read Across America" with a night honoring Dr. Seuss.  On Monday, February 26, 2001, students and parents spent the evening reading Dr. Seuss books, eating "Green Eggs and Ham", making Daisey Maize's hat (Daisey Head Mazie), and making Oobleck (Bartholomew and the Oobleck).  The "Cat in the Hat" was on hand and students had their picture taken with him. We had a fun filled family night at Langston honoring Dr. Seuss.

Making Oobleck was a lot of fun, messy, but fun. Green Eggs and Ham didn't look very good, but tasted good. Daisey Maisey had lots of new hats to decorate her head

Everyone had a great time designing their hats Reading Dr. Seuss books was a favorite activity for everyone. Green hands are the best part of making Oobleck.
