*Pre-Conference: June 16-17, 2008
*Conference: June 18-19, 2008

Welcome!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Hot Springs Technology Institute website.  HSTI2008 will represent the 15th year that we have been in existence and this year will be just as exciting as the past 14 years.

Every year our planning committee has to work extra hard to figure out how to top the previous years events and accomplishments.  Attendance has been terrific with last year topping out again at nearly 1500.

We have also been able to offer some of the best hands-on workshops and breakout sessions when compared to other conferences in the country and the reason for this is because we listen to what your needs are from year to year.  Educators from all over the state offer advice and suggestions that we take very seriously and try to incorporate into planning for HSTI each year.

HSTI is a one of a kind conference and we hope to keep it that way.  It is the only conference "built by educators for educators" which makes it unique and worthwhile.  It is owned by the educators of Arkansas and will remain that way for many years to come.

Our staff will be adding information to this website daily as it becomes available so be sure to check back often.  We plan to have lots of different pre-conference workshops as well as our huge selection of breakout sessions and featured speakers throughout the four days.  You will not leave HSTI without learning something new to help you become a better educator.

Several organizations play a big role in helping us with HSTI so be sure to thank their representatives when you have the opportunity.  These organizations include but are not limited to: ARKSTE, AAIM, AETN, ADE, ARCF, Dawson Educational Coop and Hot Springs School District.

I would personally like to thank the many people who serve as volunteers, presenters, trainers, and exhibitors.  Without these hard working dedicated people HSTI would not be able to continue as the best kept secret in the country.

Sincerely,

Don Benton, Director of HSTI
