Mrs. Fischer's Classroom - Quotes

February 13, 2008

Dear Parents,

Just wanted to update you on the progress of things in the drama department at HSMS.  The spring musical is coming along slowly.  The actors are learning their very difficult lines and the music is forthcoming.  I am hoping to have some parents on board to help with costume ideas and the building of sets and props for this one.  Everything is different and quite a bit more challenging this time around.  The kids are stepping up to meet the challenge (of course) quite nicely.

We are working on a game making project comparing the lives of Shakespeare and Seuss in my 8th grade classes and 7th grade is writing their own one act musicals.  The 6th grade is comparing the different versions of The Wizard of Oz.  We have read the book, and are now in the process of watching the movie.

Please contact me if you have any time to spare in the upcoming months in which you might be able to help us create a giant Seuss machine or make hats...

As always, thank you for letting me teach your precious children, I love them all.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Fischer
