Summer School 2009 |
HOT SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s), Hot Springs High School is proud to announce a unique opportunity for our students this summer. Partnering with National Park Community College, students have the opportunity to not only attend summer school here at the high school, but also attend NPCC to take courses. Students have more opportunities and time to recover credits with the option of starting sooner at NPCC and then coming to the high school later. NPCC will start their summer classes on June 8th and run through July 2nd. Hot Springs High School will not start summer classes till June 24th and run through July 21st. Students that are on free/reduced lunch meals at the high school will have tuition paid at NPCC by the school district. We will also have transportation provided to go to NPCC from the high school. Details for the transportation will be provided once we see how many students need it and times the bus will run. Summer school is free to Hot Springs School District students at the high school. Forms for NPCC and HSHS summer school may be picked up in the guidance department at HSHS. Please read the registration form for NPCC very carefully because NPCC’s rules are different than ours. NPCC has deadlines to register so pay close attention to details on their form. You may turn NPCC’s forms in at the high school. If you have any questions concerning the options available to your student, please do not hesitate to contact the high school at 624-5286 and speak with a counselor or an administrator. Again, this is a wonderful opportunity to get caught up on academic credits to stay on track to graduate on time. Sincerely,
Mr. Kelley Deardorff
