DISCIPLINE PLAN: RULES, CONSEQUENCES, &
REWARDS for Mr. Miller’s Classroom
Welcome to Mr. Miller’s Technology Lab!
DISCIPLINE PLAN: Rules, Consequences, Rewards & Web Pages for Mr. Miller’s Classroom
It is my philosophy that the “teaching / learning” process can only reach its highest level when all those involved work together. In this process, I am referring to the teacher, student, parent, school, and community. When all these work together for the good of the student, the optimum level of the teaching / learning process can be reached.
It is my desire to work with both you and your child to maintain an open line of communication concerning each of our roles in the teaching / learning process. In working to make my desire a continuing reality, I will be sending various notes home to you from time-to-time concerning what we are doing in the classroom. I will also send notes home, when necessary, asking you to help us (your child, yourself, and me) achieve my goals in the classroom. I will also be posting a schedule, lesson plans, sample Internet sites and other information on my web page. You can locate my page by first going to the school’s web site. You will then need to go to the Classrooms and Labs link, scroll down and click on Technology Lab, then select the topic you are interested in (About Mr. Miller / What’s Happening in the Technology Lab / Internet Links / Technology Lab Schedule / Lesson Plans, etc.).
The Gardner Web Site is: http://hssd.net/gardner/index.htm
You may go directly to my page at the following web address: http://www.hssd.net/gardner/technologylab/millerp.html
I am willing to work with you as much as possible during the year, and hope you are equally willing to work with me. I feel that together, WE CAN make this a GREAT year for YOUR CHILD!!
When the need arises, or if you would just like to talk with me, feel free to contact me by the school’s number, 620-7822. If I am not available, you may leave a message and I’ll return your call at my earliest convenience. I also have an e-mail list I use to send out information to parents. If you would like to be added, please provide that information below. We will be doing student web pages again this year. Your signed Internet and computer agreement will be used as permission for publishing your child’s page. If you wish NOT to have your child’s page published, please send a note to me stating that you do not and why for my records. Thank you so very much for your support! I am looking forward to working with you in order to form a GREAT year for all of us!!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Paul R. Miller
