2^nd – 5^th Grade: Windows MovieMaker Year in Review Video Projects

Summary of the Week’s Activities:
1)    Students will begin by checking their work area.
2)  Students will open the template “2-4 or 5 Year in Review” from the Network folder “00Studnet Projects”.
3)  Students will select “Tools” from the toolbar / “Options” / “Advanced” and set the picture duration to 8 seconds and click “OK”.
4)  Students will import the music file for their video from the network folder “00Student Projects”.
5)  Students will import their own pictures from their “Photos” folder for their current grade level from the network.
6)  Students may also select a maximum of 15 photos from their “Class Pics” or teacher pics for the “Behind the Scenes” portion of their video.
7)  Students will place their photos in the correct chronological order for the video.
8)  Students will place the music into the Timeline for their video.
9)  Students will edit and change the information necessary from the Template to match their individual information (both pre-movie and post-movie slides).
10)  Students will select the option to save their movie once layout and editing are complete.  The video will be saved to their individual “My Portfolio” and “grade level” folder.
11)  At the end of class, students will exit all programs and windows on their computer and prepare their “office station” for the next “employee.”
