Kindergarten & First Grade Lesson Plans No School Friday, March 21 Mr. Miller's Technology Lab Lesson Plans for Kindergarten - First Grade
Kindergarten and First Grade Students this week will be working on their Electronic Portfolios during the Technology Lab Class Times. Students will practice locating and opening their Portfolios from the Gardner Network Folders. Students will: 1. Click on "Start" 2. Go to "My Computer" 3. Select "Data on 'gardner' (F:)" 4. Select "00-gardner classes: 5. Select "00 - Student Projects" 6. Select (their grade level's folder) 7. Select (their teacher's folder) 8. Select (their folder) 9. Select "My Portfolio" 10. Open (their grade level portfolio for this year) Students will also practice viewing and exiting the Portfolios. ("F5" key to begin the slide show and "Esc" to exit out of the show.) Students will practice viewing the various portions of their Electronic Portfolios and listening to sound files within the Portfolios. Remaining time will be spent working in Learning.com. This is our on-line interactive technology training program. Students may access it from any computer with Internet access by going to www.learning.com and entering in their username and password. Kindergarten First Grade with Learning.com Students will: 1. Students will begin by typing learning.com in the address bar. 2.
Students will enter their UserName 3.
Students will enter their password 4.
Students will need to make sure the school district is typed in for
log-in 5. Click Enter 6. This will bring up a screen with the lessons selected for the individual student. 7. Students will click on their next lesson and follow the on-line, interactive lessons directions. 8. Students must score an 80% in order to progress to the next lesson; otherwise, they will be prompted to repeat the lesson. 9. We will work on lessons as long as time allows today during class. 10. Students will then exit all opened windows on their screen by clicking on the Red X in the top right hand corner of each opened window. Students will be working through unit lessons on the following topics:

Conclusion of Class Time: Students will stand up and prepare their work station for the next employee a. Straighten their Keyboard b. Straighten their mouse pad and mouse c. Make sure microphones and headphones are in their proper place d. Push chairs in completely under the table We will announce the winner for the day (student with the computer sign matching that displayed on the SmartBorad for the day). Students exit the lab quietly as the next class enters.
