Week 21 Lesson Plans ~ No School Monday, January 21 Second - Fifth Grade Lesson Plans 2nd Grade Learning.com / 3-5 Web Site Publication & Learning.com · Internet Explorer o Learning.com · Gardner Network Folders Summary of the Week’s Activities: Second – Fifth Grades with Learning.com Students will: 1. Students will begin by typing “learning.com” in the address bar. 2. Students will enter their “UserName” 3. Students will enter their “password” 4.
Students will need to make sure the school district is typed in for
log-in – 5. Click “Enter” 6. This will bring up a screen with the lessons selected for the individual student. 7. Students will click on their next lesson and follow the on-line, interactive lesson’s directions. 8. Students must score an 80% in order to progress to the next lesson; otherwise, they will be prompted to repeat the lesson. 9. We will work on lessons as long as time allows today during class. 10. Students will then exit all opened windows on their screen by clicking on the “Red X” in the top right hand corner of each opened window. 11. Students will stand up and prepare their work station for the next “employee” a. Straighten their Keyboard b. Straighten their mouse pad and mouse c. Make sure microphones and headphones are in their proper place d. Push chairs in completely under the table Students will be working through unit lessons on the following topics:

Third – Fifth Grade Students with Web Page Publication: Students will: 1. Students will begin by locating their grade level’s web page template on the F drive a. “Start” b. “My Computer” c. Select "Data on 'gardner' (F:)" d. Select "00-gardner classes” e. Select "00 - Student Projects" f. Choose “their grade level” g. Select “their teacher’s folder” h. Select “their folder” i. Choose “Web Page” j. Select “their grade level folder” k. Open the file for their “Website” 2. Students will check each page of their web site to be certain they have completed each page. 3. Students will select “File” from the tool bar and select “Export as Web Page”. 4. The students will name the file “Publish”. 5. The students will then select the drop down list and located their folder on the network in which to save the file they are about to export. 6. Students will then click “Save”. 7. Students will exit out of ALL windows on their computer by clicking on the RED X in the top corner of their screen. 8. Students will then open Internet Explorer and log in to Learning.com. 9. Once in the program, students will work on their individualized lessons for the time remaining of their class period. 10. At the end of class, students will exit each window on their computer. 11. Students will stand up and prepare their work station for the next “employee” e. Straighten their Keyboard f. Straighten their mouse pad and mouse g. Make sure microphones and headphones are in their proper place h. Push chairs in completely under the table We will announce the winner for the day (student with the computer sign matching that displayed on the SmartBorad for the day). Students exit the lab quietly as the next class enters.
