![]() Holiday Activities Using Kidspirations Program In this session students will us the program Kidspirations to do a couple of holiday activities. Students will also practice their skills of saving files to their folder as well as printing activities once completed. Materials: · Kidspirations Program · Laser Printer / Paper / Ink Lesson Summary: Kindergarten The students will locate the “Kindergarten” folder on the network to open the two Holiday Activities for this week’s lesson. The students will first start with “Santa’s Visit,” an activity in which they move items to the Stocking for ‘Good Girls and Boys’ or ‘Bad Girls and Boys’ on the slide. The second activity is “Decorate a Tree” in which the students will move items to the tree to decorate it for Christmas and add presents under the tree. The students will add their name to the activities using the “Student” tool.
When

1st & 2nd Grade In this session students will us the web site, Letter Creation from SEARS
Portrait Studio. Letter Creations is a site that allows students to create
a customized letter to Santa with the child's name and personal information.
They will answer a few short questions, click on the "submit" button, and
their Letter Creation will appear on their screen, complete with
illustrations. · Internet Explorer · Web Site - Letter to Santa · Kidspirations Program · Laser Printer / Paper / Ink Lesson Summary: The students will work on the web site Letter to Santa to create a personal letter to Santa. Students will answer a few questions for the site and then submit those answers to create a personal letter to Santa from them. Students will also practice their skills of saving files to their folder as well as printing activities once completed. When
they are finished, save the activity to their folder on the network: When they have completed the activity, they can print their letter. Once completed, the students
will have time to explore the web site for other activities. Kidspirations Activities: First Grade Students will find the activities: “Classify for Christmas” and “Christmas Writing” in the First Grade Folder. They are to complete each of these is time allows. The classifying activity is to find graphics that meet the descriptions of categories (things to wear, toys, food, and animals). The writing activity is to add a text box and write what they would give the world for Christmas. Second Grade Students will find the activities: “Christmas Shopping” and “Christmas Writing” in the Second Grade Folder. They are to complete each of these is time allows. The shopping activity is to find coins to place in each section that equal the total costs of the items pictured. They will use their skills of addition, money, and Kidspirations tools to complete the activity. The writing activity is to add a text box and write what they would give the world for Christmas. All activities for grade 1 and 2 are to be saved in their folders upon completion. When
