Classes this week will be introduced to the lab and equipment. We will cover procedures, rules, and consequences for class.  

Mr. Miller's Discipline Plan

BEHAVIOR RULES FOR TECHNOLOGY LAB:

1. Enter the Lab, sit quietly with your feet on the floor, hands in your lab, and listen to the directions for the first activity.

2. Raise your hand when you have a question.

3. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself and don’t touch your neighbor’s computer without permission.

4. NO swearing, cruel teasing, rude gestures, or cheating.

5Be ready to have a GREAT time in the Technology Lab and learn a LOT of new things!


DISCIPLINE PLAN FOR TECHNOLOGY LAB:

When a student breaks a rule:

1. 1st Offense ~ Caution – I will simply ask you to follow the directions and stop the misconduct.  You will receive your first checkmark.  (Each checkmark will count 10 points off your conduct grade for the class period.)

2. 2nd Offense ~ Warning – You will be warned one last time before losing privileges.  (Second Checkmark)

3. 3rd Offense ~ You will be asked to sit in time out until you are ready to rejoin the class activity. (Third Checkmark)

4. 4th Offense ~ I will assign you a “pink ticket” and we will discuss your behavior with your classroom teacher. (Fourth Checkmark)

5. 5th Offense ~ I will discuss your conduct with Ms. Seiz and discuss the lose of computer time. (Fifth Checkmark)
 

POSITIVE CONSEQUENCES I USE WHEN STUDENTS BEHAVE:

1. Praise from the Teacher

2. Reward notes Sent Home to Parents

        3. Appointed as Student Helper for the Day                

        4. Name in the “Drawing Box”

        5. Class Recognition                                                        

        6. Sticker Rewards

        7. Project Placed on the “Brag Board”                          

        8. Various Other Rewards

 

We will discuss the district and school web sites. We will view their grade level site as well as their teacher's web page.

We will discuss my web site as a way of introducing myself to the class.
