Holiday Writing Activity ~
Using Technology
to Create a Story

 

  The students will work this week creating a Holiday Story using the website linked below.  It is sponsored by Sears.

This is a great place for you and your child to spend some time. Story Creations and personalized letters are customized with your child's name. Just choose a story or letter and answer a few short questions. When you click on the "submit" button, your Story Creation or personalized letter will appear on your screen, complete with illustrations.

Kindergarten will complete:   The Picture-Perfect Christmas

First Grade will complete:  A Very Special Christmas

Second Grade will complete:  Wish Book® Favorites

 

The students will complete the on-line databse questions and then generate their story.  The completed story will be printed for the students to take home and read to their family.

 

* The alternate activity for students who choose not to do a holiday story will be to create a non-holiday story of their own.

Kindergarten will use the Create Art web site: Everyone can be an artist! and create pictures they choose.

First Grade will complete:  A Dino-mite Dinosaur Time

Second Grade will complete:  My Adventure At School
