This week we will continue Unit 2 - World Wildlife: Pink PC with lesson two.

Description of the Unit:  In World Wildlife, the second of five units, the children are introduced to database skills as they help with the opening of the World Wildlife Zoo.  The pupils complete a map of the zoo, create a sign with different types of animals, arrange colorful patterns on snakes, organize zoo workers into team, analyze new zoo creatures and sort zoo souvenirs.  in the process, the students classify objects according to attributes, arrange data in patterns, and organize data by sorting, grouping, ordering, and using axes.  Then they research animals by using a multimedia encyclopedia and explore various zoo Web sites by using the Internet.

Lesson Two ~  The students practice desktop publishing skills as they create a sign for the World Wildlife Zoo by organizing animal images according to certain attributes.  The pupils connect to the Internet to visit Web sites of zoos around the world.
