Mrs. Hill - Literacy Intervention
Hello, and Welcome to Gardner! I am new to the Gardner staff this
year and will be working with teachers and children in grades third through
fifth. I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful school and am
looking forward to an exciting new school year.
My job description includes observing in the classrooms and working with the classroom teachers in providing intervention techniques that include the five basic elements of a researched-based, literacy classroom: phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. I will also focus on working directly with students, providing them with one on one instruction in the areas of reading and writing. My goal is to bridge the gap for struggling readers and writers, and equip them with strategies necessary for success.
