The goal of General Art at Gardner is to help students become more observant through:
expanding awareness
increasing artistic appreciation
engaging critical thinking
fostering creative problem solving
The students will be encouraged to develop a sense of appropriate self-expression.
The students will be challenged to link their life experiences with their creative learning opportunities.
Demonstration, visual aids, hands on learning, and self critique round out the teaching methods
used in the Art Room at Gardner.
My philosophy of education is that nothing is wasted on a child.
