Mrs. Saracini's Morning Math Club
![]()
In the Math Lab, I work with students in a whole class setting, in small groups, and individually, offering remediation and enrichment activities. Math Investigations, which involves higher level thinking skills, is emphasized school-wide. A benchmark lesson is presented each week to our third, fourth, and fifth grade classes to help them prepare for testing. The students and teachers participate in the Math Lab lesson, and then the students do a problem independently. The state math standard taught, changes weekly.
In “Algebra Club”, algebraic skills are taught to advanced 3rd and 4th grade students, using a hands-on/active approach.
Students in grades 1-4 participate in a problem of the week, which challenges students to become problem solvers.
The Estimation Station, involving all students, 1 – 4, encourages students to explore estimation strategies, an important math skill.
The Math Lab at Gardner Magnet School offers many activities for students, and provides math preparation and assistance to our staff.

Timez Attack is an AWESOME multiplication game that your child will love!
Facts are introduced and then practiced, using a video game format.
Students in my class beg to play Timez Attack.
