Dear Mom and Dad,

     Please can I join a soccer team?  I have never been on a soccer team.  Soccer is the sport I would like to join.    

     First, I would get exercise.  I could run faster.  I would be healthier.  I would live longer.

     Second, I would make more friends.  I would have lots of friends.  They would pass me the ball.  They would be nice to me.

      Third, I would have fun.  I would have fun getting the ball.  It would be fun being the outfielder.  I could run as fast as I can.

       Surely, I want to be on a soccer team.
