Gardner Magnet Robotics Teams win trophies at the 2006 Arkansas Robotics Tournament Gardner Constructors - 1st Place for Design Robot Doctors - 1st Place for Robot Dependability
The Robot Doctors and the Gardner Constructors Robotics Teams from Gardner Math, Science, and Technology Magnet participated in the annual First LEGO League Arkansas Robotics Tournament in Mountain Home, Arkansas, on Saturday, December 9, 2006. There were robotics teams from across Arkansas, a few teams from Missouri, Louisiana, and Mississippi, that participated in the day long competition. Kids from ages 9-14 are involved in this international robotics competition extravaganza. Gardner has competed in this engineering and scientific challenge for six years. They are consistently the youngest team to compete against mostly middle school children, with Gardner’s oldest team members being 10 years old. This year both teams advanced to the afternoon main event: A 28-team field and single elimination tournament. Given the age of our team members, this was a phenomenal accomplishment.
Practice, practice, practice..... Way to Go...... Congratulations to all of our Team Members !
