Gardner Magnet School's
NWEA Testing Results....       

                NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) Test our students at the beginning and end of the year in grades 2-4 and at the end of the year in 1st Grade.  The test covers the curriculum areas of Language Arts, Math, and Reading.

                These tests are used as markers for how well the students are progressing, how well they should do on their Benchmark Exam, and the areas of weakness they might be experiencing with the specific curricular area.  We monitor and assess the test results to show where the students are functioning in comparison to their grade level as well as to the amount of growth (or loss of growth) between testing periods as well as a year-end evaluation.

                The tests results help to determine placement for various clubs here at Gardner.  They help us to place students in Algebra Club, Robotics Club, GETN's News Crew, and various other groups and clubs in the building.

                We like to recognize the students in each grade who take the test for their improvement as well as for being the highest scoring person on the test for their class and/or grade level.  We also recognize those students who have been working hard to improve upon their last testing score.  We recognize those students with growth on ALL THREE of the testing areas.  Below you will see the lists of our most current AWARD  WINNERS; for GROWTH as well as HIGH SCORE and those with IMPROVEMENT IN ALL THREE TESTING AREAS.
